Robert MacInnis lives in the Canadian Maritimes. Introduced to decoy carving as a young boy on the coast of Nova Scotia it became a life long passion. Over the years his distinctive style developed along with a love for woodworking making decoy carving a perfect outlet for both. Robert's work has represented Canada through out the world where it can be found in fine shops and decoy collections. His interest is the working decoy which echoes the traditions and techniques that gave the decoy its place in North American history. Robert's decoys are all original designs hand carved then given a beautiful antique finish. He reclaims wood where ever possible and employs regional styles , tools and techniques to keep this historic art form alive
